Cheers for that .so if I have 3-4mm how long do I hold it at that temp?

http://westyorkssteel.com/01.html Has the temperatures/methods for all the major tool steels too, go to products - tool steel

The temperatures will vary slightly between the same grade steels due to slightly different composition, but it won't make enough of a difference to worry about.
