Default How i Handle a knife Part 2

Part 2

Scale glued on to the tang

Clean of any excess off the front with a sharp stanley knife

It will then look like this

Next step is onto the bandsaw to remove the excess

Then onto the sander for a clean up all round

Then over to the pillar drill to drill the holes for the pins

You then repeat the same procedure on the other side

While your waiting for it to set, instead of making another roll up, prepare the other three sets of scales for the other knives

When set, back to the bandsaw, cut off the excess and clean up all round on the sander

Back on to the pillar drill and drill through the other side

Your now ready for the pins

Then glue and tap the pins in

Final job back to the disc sander to clean up both faces
If you notice i ramp the scale from front to back

All done,just the final shaping

Next part 3 the final shaping, will get Max to Vid this so you can see how i do it, as its hard to explain
