Being completely honest (I'm not the type to blow smoke up your arse mate). It looks like it'll do the job but it's not to the standard that your knives deserve. That said I haven't tried yet and I'm more apprehensive about that than i was of heat treatment. If my first attempts look as good as yours I'll be happy enough.
I seen your second one on bcuk though and its miles better. Just shows how quickly you can improve. I hope you read in the spirit this is intended mate.

Ha ha ha.....ya know am foolin with you
M8 you should of seen the state of my first one....by my second I'd learnt not to make the mistakes of the 1st one and it went on like that.
By the time ya 40-50th comes you'll still be swearing and cursing with little minor errors..normally tool work slips...that's why I keep em simple and no thrills.
Looks like you've took to leather work :-)
