what do you carry on a day to day basis, including public places?

i carry these things, From left to right.

DC4, Firesteel, cheap Lighter, ancient Phone, Leatherman Juice KF4 (Legal) or the Leatherman Charge TTI.

There you go, Phone, complete with crack in the screen before the case was added (already broke twice before now), wallet, keys, and of course, The Who zippo lighter.

Then at weekends, I rotate throughout the day bettween all of the above, plus a gerber suspention multi tool (soon to be a leatherman charge tti), small opinel with locking ring super glued so EDC legal or a Buck Vantage Avid, and my shotgun certificate, whether I have my gun or not. (the knives are taken when shooting and the opinel if I know I have a use for it but havent a good reason for taking it. I find the cert good even when using my preferred tool of an air rifle, as it shrugs off any ignorrant anti I come across aswell.

Cheers,

Will

Those leathermans must be crap if you need to carry a way of sharpening them around with you and you need to carry 2 of them. I couldn't find enough stuff to cut if I was going to blunt 4 blades in the same day.

I carry a squirt P4, if I need a bigger pair of pliers I'll get my toolbox
S30V is a bugger for chipping and takes serious time on the stones to rectify.
wouldn't a small loaded strop be better for a daily touch up?
If I had that much metal in a pocket, I'd walk around in circles.

My EDC.

Modified Svord Peasant , a pipe knife ( Svord to be further modded to include a spike for pipe prodding), disposable lighters , credit card LED torch, pipe cleaners, (its a bugger if you get a blockage in the stem !!!), 50 gram pack of tobacco ( keeps NHS funded ), and a quad band mobile phone ,gave up on multi tools, as found they were just extra weight , as carry full compliment of tools in "Snap On " tool chest in 4x4 truck , along with emergency tobacco in glove box !!.

EDC when travelling out side the UK, is a mini set of sockets, cross and flat point screw driver set and allan keys all sized fit my partners wheel chair, plus a small adjustable spanner and most importantly a Richardson pipe knife along with pipe cleaners, its a bugger to get pipe cleaners outside the UK !!!!, Quad band phone with internet capability and this all fits into a reasonably sized belt pack.. Because we go to interesting parts of the world, we are considering a satellite phone for the future . ( we take, and push back the boundary from able bodied folk to the limit , just because your in a set of wheels does not mean you have to take holidays for the disabled ). If we require other items ( a blade ) we purchase locally and dispose before returning to the UK, or transiting other countries.
