Default re my knife pouch

Hi,
I was wondering if I can re dye a knife pouch I have puchased. It is veg tanned at the moment but I would prefer it black, is it possible to change the colour without any reactions fr om the dyes ?

It might be possible but if it's been coated in anything you might need to deglaze it first to get the Dye to take. If it's got an acrylic coating like Supershene then I'm not sure of the outcome.

Fiebings do a deglazer but it's expensive to order because it's subject to hazardous materials shipping. Try to find some local if you can
